ife can often leave us drained, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether it’s the weight of responsibilities, the stress of daily challenges, or the fatigue that comes from pressing forward in faith, many of us find ourselves longing for renewed energy. In those moments, prayer becomes not just a refuge but also a divine source of strength.

When we call on God for energy, we are inviting Him to breathe new life into our weary bodies and restore our spirits with His power. The Bible reminds us that the Lord is our strength, our sustainer, and our source of vitality. Through prayer, we open ourselves to receive the energy needed to live with joy, purpose, and resilience.

23 Prayer For Energy

1. Isaiah 40:31

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (ESV)

This verse assures us that waiting on the Lord brings renewal. Energy is not simply about physical stamina but spiritual endurance as well. God promises strength that lifts us higher than we could ever go on our own.

Lord, I wait upon You for renewal. Give me energy to soar above weariness, run without losing heart, and walk steadily in Your strength.

2. Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (KJV)

Christ is our ultimate source of empowerment. No matter how weak or exhausted we may feel, His strength is sufficient to carry us through. Energy flows when we lean fully on Him.

Father, I trust in Christ for my strength. Fill me with the energy to accomplish all that You have set before me today.

3. Psalm 28:7

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” (ESV)

God is both protector and energizer. When we put our trust in Him, He lifts our hearts with joy and infuses us with the energy to face life’s challenges.

Lord, be my strength and shield. Renew my energy with joy so that I may continue each day with gratitude and purpose.

4. Nehemiah 8:10

“Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (ESV)

Joy brings with it the strength to keep going. When we focus on the joy of God’s presence, our energy is renewed and our spirits are lifted.

Father, fill me with Your joy that strengthens and energizes me. Let Your presence bring vitality to every part of my life.

5. 2 Corinthians 12:9

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (ESV)

Our weakness is the very place where God’s strength is displayed. Instead of trying to force energy ourselves, we can rest in His sufficiency.

Lord, in my weakness, let Your power be revealed. Grant me energy through Your grace to live boldly for You.

6. Psalm 46:1

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (KJV)

When trouble leaves us weary, God is near to provide both refuge and strength. His presence energizes us to keep pressing on.

Father, be my refuge and source of energy. Help me to draw strength from Your presence and rise above every trouble.

7. Colossians 1:11

“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.” (ESV)

True energy comes not from ourselves but from God’s glorious might. He strengthens us to endure with patience and joy, no matter how draining life becomes.

Lord, strengthen me with Your power. Fill me with the energy to endure joyfully and patiently in all circumstances.

8. Psalm 18:32

“It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.” (KJV)

God equips us with everything we need, including strength for the journey. His energy enables us to walk the path He has prepared.

Father, arm me with strength and energy for today. Guide me in Your ways and help me to walk in Your perfect plan.

9. Exodus 15:2

“The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” (ESV)

Worship brings strength. Praising God not only lifts our spirits but also fills us with renewed energy to continue the journey.

Lord, You are my strength and my song. Let my praise bring energy to my soul and keep me steadfast in You.

10. Habakkuk 3:19

“The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.” (KJV)

God enables us to rise above difficulties with the agility of a deer on high places. His strength energizes us to climb what seems impossible.

Father, energize me with Your strength. Make me surefooted as I face challenges and lead me to the heights of victory.

11. Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (ESV)

God’s presence assures us of courage and strength. Knowing He is with us fuels our energy to face any situation.

Lord, fill me with courage and energy, for I know You are with me. Help me walk confidently without fear or weakness.

12. Psalm 73:26

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (ESV)

Even when our physical bodies fail, God remains our strength. His energy sustains us beyond what our flesh can handle.

Father, when my strength fails, be the energy that carries me through. Sustain me with Your eternal strength and love.

13. Ephesians 6:10

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” (ESV)

Our energy is renewed when we rely not on ourselves but on God’s might. His strength equips us for every battle and every task.

Lord, clothe me with Your strength. Fill me with energy that comes from Your might alone.

14. Psalm 118:14

“The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.” (ESV)

Salvation itself brings renewed energy and joy. God’s deliverance becomes the fuel for a grateful and energized life.

Father, thank You for being my strength and my song. Fill me with Your energy so that I may live joyfully in Your salvation.

15. 1 Peter 4:11

“Whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (ESV)

God supplies the strength we need to serve Him faithfully. Our energy is meant to glorify Him in all things.

Lord, supply me with Your strength to serve with energy. Let everything I do bring glory to Your name.

16. Psalm 29:11

“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.” (KJV)

God’s blessings include both strength and peace. When He energizes us, He also grants us calmness of spirit.

Father, give me strength and energy for today. Bless me with peace as I walk in Your presence.

17. Jeremiah 31:25

“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” (ESV)

God promises to refresh and replenish those who are weary. His energy restores what exhaustion has taken away.

Lord, replenish my soul and body with Your strength. Fill me with energy that flows from Your Spirit.

18. Psalm 34:10

“The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” (ESV)

Even the strongest can grow weak, but those who seek God are sustained. His energy ensures we lack nothing we truly need.

Father, I seek You as my source of strength. Provide me with the energy I need to thrive in every area of my life.

19. Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” (ESV)

Trusting in God removes fear and replaces it with strength. His salvation energizes us to live boldly.

Lord, I place my trust in You. Be my energy, my strength, and my salvation today.

20. Psalm 138:3

“On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.” (ESV)

Prayer itself brings renewed energy because God answers with strength. When we call on Him, He fills us with vitality of spirit.

Father, thank You for answering me with strength. Increase my energy today as I continue to seek You in prayer.

21. Daniel 10:19

“And he said, ‘O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.’ And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’” (ESV)

God’s words bring strength and courage. His presence energizes us in ways that surpass human encouragement.

Lord, speak strength into my life today. Fill me with courage and energy that only comes from Your presence.

22. 1 Chronicles 16:11

“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” (ESV)

Continuous seeking of God results in continuous strength. His presence is the never-ending source of energy.

Father, I seek Your strength and presence daily. Energize me with Your Spirit so I may endure and thrive.

23. Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (ESV)

Hope in God revives our energy. The Holy Spirit fills us with power, joy, and peace that fuel our lives.

Lord, fill me with joy, peace, and energy through the Holy Spirit. Let me abound in hope and strength to live for You.

Conclusion

When you feel drained, call on Him for fresh vitality. Through prayer, God will restore your energy, uplift your spirit, and fill you with the power needed to live with joy and purpose every day.
