23 Prayer For Court Case To Be Dismissed with Scriptures to Back

Rev. Thomas MarshBy Rev. Thomas MarshOctober 5, 2025No Comments11 Mins Read

Facing a court case can be one of the most stressful experiences in life. The uncertainty, fear, and anxiety that come with legal battles can weigh heavily on the heart and mind. But as believers, we are reminded that God is our ultimate judge and defender. Through prayer, we can surrender our worries to Him, asking for His divine favor, mercy, and intervention. Prayer is not just a plea for dismissal, but a declaration of faith that God’s justice will prevail in His perfect time.

When we lift our case before the Lord, we invite His presence into every part of the process—into the courtroom, into the hearts of the judges, and even into our own thoughts. These prayers are written to strengthen your faith and help you find peace in God’s sovereignty. No matter the outcome, trust that He is working behind the scenes to bring justice, mercy, and restoration to your situation.

23 Prayer For Court Case To Be Dismissed

1. Psalm 37:6

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

When you face legal trouble, remember that God sees your heart and will reveal your innocence in His perfect time. Though others may misunderstand you, the Lord shines light where there has been confusion. His truth breaks through falsehood.

Heavenly Father, bring forth my righteousness as You have promised. Let Your light expose every lie and injustice. May my case be dismissed according to Your divine will, and may Your truth be evident before all.

2. Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Judges and lawyers may hold authority, but their hearts are under God’s control. The Lord can move the minds of those in power to show mercy and favor. Trust that God can guide decisions toward your deliverance.

Lord, I commit every authority involved in my case into Your hands. Direct their thoughts and judgments in alignment with Your will. Let Your favor speak for me and bring about dismissal of every false accusation.

3. Isaiah 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.

God’s protection extends even to the courtroom. No scheme or false accusation can succeed against His chosen ones. When your name is on trial, God Himself stands as your defender.

Father, I claim this promise over my life and my case. Silence every false word spoken against me and cancel every weapon of deceit. Let Your justice prevail and cause my case to be dismissed in peace.

4. Psalm 34:17

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

When you cry out to God in distress, He listens. He does not turn away from the voice of the afflicted. In times of uncertainty, prayer becomes your lifeline to divine rescue.

Lord, I cry to You in my moment of need. Deliver me from this court case and every anxiety surrounding it. Let Your hand of mercy bring me freedom and peace.

5. Exodus 14:14

The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

You don’t have to fight every battle on your own. God goes before you, defends you, and silences those who rise against you. When you rest in His strength, He brings victory in His own way.

Father, fight this battle on my behalf. Let Your divine power speak louder than any accusation. Grant me calm assurance as I trust You to bring the case to a favorable end.

6. Psalm 9:4

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

God upholds justice for those who are wronged. Even when human judgment is flawed, His throne is founded on righteousness. He sees the truth behind every case and defends the innocent.

Lord, I thank You for being my ultimate Judge. Uphold my cause and reveal Your justice in this matter. Let my case be dismissed as a reflection of Your divine order.

7. Romans 8:31

If God be for us, who can be against us?

When God stands by your side, no human decision can overpower His will. Your confidence in Him silences fear and doubt. His favor opens doors that no man can shut.

Father, thank You for being for me in this situation. I know no power can stand against Your purpose. Let this assurance lead to the dismissal of my case, in Jesus’ name.

8. Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

In legal struggles, God remains your refuge — the safe place where fear dissolves. He gives strength when uncertainty threatens your peace. You can lean on Him even when the future feels uncertain.

Lord, I run to You for refuge. Be my strength in this legal battle. Surround me with Your presence and cause my case to end in Your favor.

9. 2 Chronicles 20:15

Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Your fight is not yours alone. God takes ownership of the struggles that threaten your peace. When you release your fears to Him, He intervenes in powerful ways.

Heavenly Father, I surrender this case to You completely. Take charge of every detail and speak through those who represent me. May Your mighty hand bring this case to a peaceful dismissal.

10. Psalm 91:11

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Even in the courtroom, God’s angels stand guard. They guide your steps, protect your reputation, and shield you from unseen harm. Divine protection extends to every area of your life.

Father, I thank You for assigning angels to watch over me. Let them go before me to prepare the way for a favorable outcome. Keep me safe, confident, and filled with Your peace.

11. Psalm 35:1

Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

When others accuse you unjustly, God becomes your advocate. He pleads your cause better than any human lawyer could. He fights on your behalf when you feel powerless.

Lord, rise up and plead my cause in this matter. Let Your justice speak louder than any false claim. Grant that my case be dismissed as a testimony of Your power and mercy.

12. Philippians 4:6

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Worry doesn’t change outcomes, but prayer does. When you bring your court case before God, you replace fear with faith. His peace follows your prayers and steadies your heart.

Father, I choose faith over fear today. I thank You in advance for hearing my prayer and working in my favor. Let this case end in dismissal and fill my heart with peace.

13. Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

God’s light dispels darkness and confusion. When He is your strength, no courtroom or authority can intimidate you. His presence gives you courage to stand firm.

Lord, shine Your light upon me as I face this situation. Remove every shadow of fear from my heart. Let my confidence in You lead to a victorious dismissal.

14. Isaiah 41:10

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

God promises His presence in every moment of fear. His strength upholds you when you feel weary. He walks beside you into the courtroom and never leaves you alone.

Father, I rest in Your assurance today. Strengthen me and give me peace as I trust You to handle every detail of this case. Uphold me with Your righteousness and bring it to dismissal.

15. Proverbs 16:7

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

When you live in alignment with God’s will, He softens even the hearts of those against you. Favor replaces hostility, and peace takes the place of conflict.

Lord, let my life please You in all things. Touch the hearts of those involved in this case and bring about peace. Grant that this matter be dismissed in accordance with Your will.

16. Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.

Even in distress, God restores your soul and leads you into peace. His guidance brings rest and order amid chaos. When He leads, your steps are secure.

Heavenly Shepherd, lead me through this valley with peace and trust. Restore my confidence and remove my fear. Let Your guidance bring this court case to a merciful end.

17. Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

God recognizes the hearts that rely on Him. He becomes your stronghold when challenges threaten to overwhelm you. In His goodness, He provides strength and deliverance.

Lord, I put my complete trust in You. Be my stronghold as I face this legal situation. Let Your goodness shine through and cause my case to be dismissed.

18. Romans 12:19

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

God’s justice far exceeds human revenge. When you release your anger, He takes over and settles matters perfectly. His timing and judgment are always fair.

Father, I let go of every desire for revenge. Take this case into Your hands and do what is right. May Your perfect justice lead to dismissal and peace.

19. Psalm 31:24

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

Hope gives you endurance when the process feels long. God strengthens those who keep trusting Him through uncertainty. Courage grows when you rest in His promises.

Lord, strengthen my heart today as I wait on You. Fill me with courage and hope as this case unfolds. Let my faith bring me through to a peaceful dismissal.

20. Psalm 37:5

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

When you surrender your plans to God, He takes control of the outcome. Faith opens the door for His perfect will to manifest. What seems impossible becomes possible through Him.

Father, I commit this entire situation to You. I trust You to bring about the best result. Let Your divine favor cause my case to be dismissed in victory.

21. Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

God’s faithfulness never fails, even when timelines seem uncertain. Standing firm in faith invites His promises to unfold. He rewards those who do not waver in belief.

Lord, strengthen my faith to remain unshaken. I trust that Your promise of deliverance will not fail. Let Your faithfulness be seen in the dismissal of my case.

22. Psalm 55:22

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Carrying your worries alone leads to exhaustion, but God invites you to lay them down. When you cast your burdens on Him, He upholds you with strength and peace.

Father, I cast every fear and burden into Your care. Sustain me as I walk through this process. Let Your power secure my peace and bring this case to dismissal.

23. Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Even this trial is part of a bigger plan filled with hope. God’s intentions toward you are never harmful. His peace will lead you to the outcome He has prepared.

Lord, thank You for Your thoughts of peace toward me. I rest in the knowledge that You have already written my victory. Let Your divine plan end this case in dismissal and peace.

Conclusion

When you pray for a court case to be dismissed, you’re not only asking for earthly relief — you’re inviting God to show His justice and mercy. He is both your Defender and Deliverer, capable of changing any verdict in your favor.

Trust that His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than the courts of men. Keep your heart anchored in faith, and remember that with God on your side, no accusation can stand.
